Discount Codes for the TOEFL iBT® Test in 2026: What's Real and How to Pay Less

In short

• ETS has no standing public promo code. Its payments FAQ says that it or its affiliates sometimes run a promotion in a country or region, announced on TOEFL's social media.
• The codes you can actually use come from ETS partners and test-prep companies, and usually take up to 10–15% off the test fee.
• You enter a code in your ETS account before you pay. It can't be added to a test you've already paid for.
• The biggest savings need no code: the four free score reports, and registering, rescheduling, and canceling before the deadlines.

Codes we could verify

These are published openly by the companies below, on their own pages. We read their terms; we didn't test the codes at checkout. Codes change and expire without notice, so check the company's page before you use one.

• ETS itself named Galvanize as a partner that gives students discounts on TOEFL iBT registration, in a July 2026 announcement. Galvanize says it last checked its codes on October 6, 2026.
• Cialfo describes itself as an ETS partner; we didn't find an ETS page that says so. Some of its own pages disagree on the size of the discount, so expect "up to" to mean less in some countries.

How to use a code

1. Register in your own ETS account. ETS says tests must be bought through the test taker's own account.
2. Before you pay, enter the code in the Voucher / Promotional Code field, and check that the price drops.
3. Read the offer's terms. ETS's Bulletin warns that some products and services may be excluded when you use a discount or promotion.

Vouchers

• In some countries, authorized third-party sellers sell test vouchers, which you use as payment when you register in your ETS account.
• Some prep courses include one. Magoosh says its TOEFL Premium comes with an ETS voucher worth US$40 off in the U.S. and 10% in most other countries, which can't be combined with other ETS promotions.
• Schools and sponsors can buy 50% or 100% vouchers from ETS for their students, valid in one country for up to a year. If your university or program pays for tests, ask them.
• In the U.S., high school seniors with financial need can get a fee reduction voucher for 50% of the test fee through their school counselor.

Savings that need no code

• Use your four free score reports. Choose up to four schools by 10 p.m. (local test center time) the day before the test; each one added later costs US$29. One trade-off: once you've chosen a recipient, you can't ask for a Speaking or Writing score review.
• Register at least 7 full days before to avoid the US$49 express fee.
• Reschedule or cancel at least 4 full days before. Rescheduling costs US$69; canceling in time returns 50% of the fee. In South Korea, canceling within 7 days of registering returns all of it.
• Avoid paying for a retake. A second sitting costs the whole test fee again.
