Terms of Service

The service

MockPrep offers online practice tests in the format of the TOEFL iBT® test introduced in January 2026, scored automatically and by AI, with reports that explain your answers.

MockPrep is an independent product. TOEFL and TOEFL iBT are registered trademarks of ETS. This product is not endorsed or approved by ETS. Your results are estimates for practice. They are not official scores, and we can't promise any result on the official test.

Your account

• You sign in with a link sent to your email address, or with Google. Keep access to that email account secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in.
• An account is for one person. Don't share it or sell access to it.
• Give accurate information, and keep it up to date.
• You must be at least 14 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

Credits and payments

Tests are started with credits. Starting a new set of a section uses one credit. Taking a set you have already bought again is free; detailed AI grading of a Writing or Speaking retake uses one credit. The cost is shown before you start or confirm.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payments are subject to Paddle's buyer terms. Prices are shown at checkout, including any taxes that apply.

• Credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Nothing renews automatically.
• Credits don't expire while your account is open. They have no cash value and can't be transferred to another account.
• Free credits, such as those given when you sign up, can't be exchanged for money.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund of unused credits within 21 days of a purchase. See the Refund Policy for the details.

Taking tests

• When you start a test, you choose test conditions (the clock never stops) or practice mode (you can pause). The credit is used when the test starts, and a started test can't be cancelled or restarted.
• Under test conditions, if you leave and the time runs out, the section ends and is scored with the answers you saved.
• If a test can't be completed because of a problem on our side, contact us and we will restore the credit.

AI-generated content and scoring

• Many questions and explanations are written with the help of AI and reviewed before they are published. The voices in the Listening and Speaking sections are AI-generated.
• Writing and Speaking answers are scored by AI models, and spoken answers are transcribed by AI. Reading and Listening are scored automatically.
• AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Use scores and feedback as guidance for practice, not as official results or as professional advice for admissions or other decisions.

Your answers and recordings

Your written answers and voice recordings stay yours. You let us store and process them, including with the AI providers named in our Privacy Policy, to score your tests, show your reports, and run and improve the service. You are responsible for what you submit and must have the right to submit it. Don't include other people's personal information.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive, or to send spam;
• copy, scrape, publish, or resell our questions, explanations, audio, or reports, or infringe anyone's intellectual property;
• interfere with the service's security or operation, for example with malware, probing for weaknesses, automated access, or overloading it;
• try to make the AI features produce illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexual content, deepfakes, or other people's private information, or try to get around their safeguards;
• impersonate anyone, or share or sell your account.

Content moderation and takedown

We may review and remove content, and limit or suspend accounts, that break these terms. If you believe something on the service infringes your rights, email support@mockprep.org with the details, and we will look into it and remove it where appropriate.

Our intellectual property

The service, including its questions, explanations, audio, reports, software, and design, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own test preparation while your account is open.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running well, but we don't guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add, or remove features. If we stop offering the service altogether, we will refund the paid credits you haven't used.

Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing support@mockprep.org. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for non-payment or payment fraud, or to protect the service or other users from security or fraud risks. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why first.

Liability

The service is provided for practice and study. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you by email or on the site before an important change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
